SELECT edible collagen sausage casings are the top of the range in sausage casings. This is a new range, which is highly elastic and can be reliably processed on all standard types of semi-automatic or automatic stuffing machines. The finished products have a very tender “bite” and a natural look similar to sausages in sheep casings. SELECT casings are designed for heat-processed products such as Frankfurter sausages, which are smoked and then steam-cooked. The casings are highly permeable to smoke and steam, and can be consumed as part of the smoked meat. They can also be supplied in strands with closed ends for autoload machines.
